Originally from Scotland the family travelled to Southern Africa and Australia in 1800. This was at the time of the pioneering of Southern Africa and Australia and the discovery of Diamonds in the famous Kimberley mine. The mining and trading and export of diamonds began and naturally found their way on the great ships to the shores of Australia.
In 1906 the company was manufacturing the most famous jewellery in the region and news spread to the other countries in Asia and the Pacific. The photos here are in 1933 in the factory in Melbourne Australia.
The news spread and cients, politicians and heads of industries soon began collecting some of the most beautiful jewellery pieces for their wives and family.
